We love round dining tables, mostly because they allow you to squeeze more people into a small space. Here are some of our favorites, from new designs to enduring classics.
LOW
If we're looking at IKEA staples, there's of course the Tulip-style DOCKSTA, but we see the beauty in the simplistic SALMI, too. Chrome and glass, understated, yet totally modern.
The cagey design of the Compass Table's base adds an industrial touch and allows it to feel lighter—making it perfect for a tight space.
The mid-century stylings of the Brace's legs are timeless, while the glass top lends visual lightness.
If you prefer all wood, there's this modern classic from West Elm, which looks great in walnut veneer (and is also available in white).
Our Previous Lists:
MEDIUM
A modern shape with rustic elements, this stunning pedestal table is constructed from reclaimed pine that's arranged in a graphic chevron pattern.
Form meets function in the Eames round table. And if you have uneven floors, those leveling glides mean wine glasses won't go flying.
This leggy table is even more spectacular up close. A combination of ebony veneer and mahogany, the wood grain on the tabletop is arranged to form a starburst shape. Brass accents on the ends of the legs add a metallic touch.
Other Good Resources:
HIGH
In true Jonathan Adler fashion, this table is the most glam of the bunch. Make a statement with a geometric antiqued brass base and your choice of four round tabletop options, including glossy white and luxe marble.
The gold-plated steel base and a glass top add some glitz without a lot of visual weight.
What would a roundup of round tables be without the Saarinen Tulip Table? It's timeless, beautiful, and works in any space.
